We have permits!

Hey guys, I know it's been over a month since "we" updated but I got a case of the lazies. Or, I guess I could blame it on waiting on the permits. We finally got our permits, though, and will be putting stuff back IN the house, rather than taking it out, in a matter of weeks ... hopefully.

Jeff has been dutifully destroying a blackberry bush on the property, and removing some more plaster from the walls. He looks forward to the day when that will be over.

Soon, Jeff! I've been doing a whole lot of nothing, aside from watching The Bodyguard and a lot of other Lifetime Original Movies. A couple weeks ago, my parents came in to help us remove the wallpaper in the living room (yes, we decided to take it down and start fresh). Who knew the amount of difference a wall steamer could make! Seriously, if you are removing wallpaper, rent yourself a wall steamer.

We also got a fire going in the wood burning stove! I was so excited to have a wood burning stove, but even more excited that we won't be relying on it as our only heat source for long. Still, it's cozy and Mac loves it (see picture above). The lengths we go to for that dog ...
